It’s Ok to Feel
It’s ok to feel sad,
the same way it’s ok to be mad or even glad.
It’s ok to feel crippled by your grief.
I wish I could give you immediate relief.
It’s ok to feel joy once your sadness has subsided,
Or even amid your blues.
I hope you can still dance among all the hues.
I hope you can still smile through the darkness and laugh in the greys.
And find the moments that are bliss in the sun.
May you still shine so brightly through the storm,
so that when you feel stronger, a genuine smile is once again able to form.
It’s ok to feel all that you do.
Even the strongest and happiest amongst us can feel so blue.
It’s ok.
