Love Your Single Self on Valentine’s Day
Valentine’s Day is the perfect time to make self-loathing singles feel like crud. Yet, it doesn’t have to be this way; you can instead love your single self on Valentine’s Day! Your romantic status doesn’t make you more or less loveable. You are every bit as loveable in your single glory as you would be in a coupled-up love nest! Don’t think about the reasons why you think you may be single unless you are doing so in a gentle self-reflecting light.
For instance, maybe you never put yourself in positions to even talk to other intriguing and sophisticated singletons of your liking. You can change this! Try not to look at meeting new people of potential interest so seriously.
Did I mention to love your single self on Valentine’s Day?
What about meeting new people and getting to know them as friends first? The most shooting star in your eyes kind of couples possess a galactically remarkable friendship base. You want to be with someone who is, first and foremost, a wonderful friend. So, perhaps look at meeting new prospects through a more light-hearted type of lense.
It’s also totally okay if you don’t even wish to meet anyone right now for whatever reason.
It’s okay to be 20 and married or 35 and single. (or literally, any other variation you can dream of)
Other people’s expectations do not have to hold power over you. It’s not their life; it’s yours, and if you’re cool with being a crazy cat lady for the rest of your life or taking full advantage of all those hip dating apps, more power to you!
DO YOU!
The point is that you should love yourself on Valentine’s Day, whether you’re single, in a steamy romance, or a slow-burning commitment. It’s all beautiful.
LOVE YOUR RADIANT, SINGLE SELF ON VALENTINE’S DAY!
A big part of the beauty is that you are free to choose what you want. Maybe you’re not sure what you want. That’s perfectly okay! There’s no rush. Amazing things take time.
Whatever you do, don’t hold off loving yourself this Valentine’s Day, no matter the state of your romantic life.
I hope that you find love this Valentine’s Day, whether it be love from a friend, family member, furry friend, non-furry cutie, a bubbly cashier, or yourself.
YOU ARE WORTHY OF LOVE on Valentine’s Day and every day after!
Don’t let anyone ever make you believe that you’re not!
LOVE & LIGHT TO ALL MY LUMINOUS SELF-LUVIANS! LOVE YOU!
Xoxoxo,
Amanda
