The Depths
Look around you here
Look around you there
People are everywhere. . .
Some are short
Some are tall
Some laugh at another’s fall
Some do laps at the mall
On the surface, things seem “normal,” even mundane
But underneath layers, everyone houses pain
The pain can run deep
So deep, into every single one of your pores, it will seep
Unchecked pain is dangerous
It manifests and rears a demonic-like head in a myriad of ways
Everyday among the “normal”
Some disregard this
Ignorance sure is bliss
Others can’t help but stare
What an entertaining affair!
Some want to help but have no idea where or how to start
START WITH YOU
Look the mirror
That’s where you start
That’s how we all can play the hero’s part
